Types of Normal Delivery

Spontaneous: when a pregnant female goes into labor without the use of drugs or techniques to induce labor.

Assisted or Instrumental: when a pregnant female goes into labor with the use of drugs or techniques to induce labor and requires the use of special instruments to deliver the baby.

Induced: when drugs or manual techniques are used to initiate the process of labor.

Cesarean Delivery

Cesarean deliveries are more common these days because of reduced endurance of females to bear the labor pain. This done under spinal anesthesia by making one or more incisions on a mother's abdomen and uterus to deliver one or more babies. A Caesarean section is often performed when a vaginal delivery would put the baby's or mother's life or health at risk.

Well baby package for both the normal and c-sec delivery is Rs. 5,000 which includes the visits of the pediatrician and the cost of vaccinations given at the time of birth. Most of the insurance companies cover child birth in their group insurance policies given to the company employees. However the amount under the delivery package is capped and is less than your total insurance cover.
